Passed away peacefully 6th March 2026 at Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast, surrounded by his loving family, R.I.P.
Much loved son of Elizabeth, cherished brother of Francis, Philomena, Agnes and the late Patrick, Marie, Betty and Bobby. Loving brother-in-law of Irene and Peter and adored uncle of his nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, Belfast, Bangor and Coventry. He will be sadly missed by his entire family circle and friends.
Martin is reposing at O’Kanes Funeral Home, 116-118 Donegall Street, Belfast, BT1 2GX. Those wishing to pay their respects are welcome to call on Thursday 12th March (9.00am to 8.30pm) and immediate family only on Friday 13th.
His remains will be removed to St. Patricks Church, 199 Donegall Street, on Saturday 14th for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Committal afterwards at 12.00 noon in Roselawn Crematorium.

Gerry’s remains will leave his daughter-in-law’s home at 9.15am on Saturday 14th to arrive at St Malachy’s Church for 10am Requiem Mass. Cremation to follow in Roselawn Crematorium.

There will be a cortege of VW campers and vehicles following the hearse, if you would like to be part of this the meet point will be at The Manor Leisure centre, Station Road, Whittlesey, PE7 1UA - The cortege will pass the entrance allowing you to join at approx 11.30am.
NB: There are speed bumps leading into the car park so any lowered vehicles would be better parking on the main road to the left or right of the entrance.

You will be able to view the live stream approximately 5 minutes before the service start time. Please be aware the service is in a public building and earlier services may overrun. Please use your discretion should you see activities unrelated to the service you are here to view.

Wake info
At the wake there will be a hog roast with vegan and veggie options plus small cold buffet and cakes.
Fully licensed bar
There will be a bonfire lit at dusk for us all to gather around so bring a jacket, blanket, camping chair, if you plan on staying.
I and others will be camping in our vans in the car park at the wake venue overnight, and we have 1 lodge already booked.
If you decide to camp in your van overnight it is £10, I will collect cash off you in the morning. They also serve breakfast baps in the clubhouse.
NB: There are further lodges available but unfortunately it is a min 3 night booking, 3 bed lodge sleeps 6 - £275 via Hoseasons - Decoy Lakes
